Shape of baby bump can disclose many hidden things about your expecting baby. Most of these predictions remain as an old wives tale because these don’t have any scientific proof till now. But, the natural curiosity to know the gender and character of the baby forces all expecting parents to go through many myths and belief.

Among these, predictions made by looking at the shape of baby bump is the most common one. Gender prediction is the most frequent thing that most of the expecting parents do by looking at the shape of baby bump. Other than that, you can predict the nature of your baby and the  labour time. Here are some factors of your baby that you can predict by the shape of baby bump.



What Shape Is Your Baby Bump?

1.Big bump:It’s a girl: It is commonly believed that if you have a big baby bump, you are probably having a baby girl in your womb. The shape of baby bump will be like that of a watermelon if you are carrying a baby girl.

2.Small bump:It’s a boy: If you have a small baby bump, you are most likely to have a baby boy. The shape of baby bump will be small if you carry a baby boy because, a baby boy attaches to the lower position of your uterus.

3.Constant change:Are you feeling that the shape of baby bump is changing constantly. Then, no doubt, you are about to have a very active baby. The change in the shape of baby bump is due to the constant movement of your baby within your womb.

4.Low baby bump:It’s a boy: Probably, this is the most common prediction that all expecting parents and their friends or relatives make looking at the shape of baby bump. If you have a low baby bump, you probably carry a baby boy.

5.High baby bump:It’s a girl: If the shape of baby bump is raised, then probably you are going to have a little princess. Even though this doesn’t have much scientific support, old wives’ tales tell that girl foetus tend to attach to the upper portion of the uterus.

6.Predict labour:Expert and experienced people can predict the time of your labour by looking at the shape of baby bump. This is possible because your baby will take the head down position and will move towards the lower portion of your baby bump as the labour time approaches.

7.Size of baby:  Shape of baby bump should not be considered as an indicator of your baby’s size. A big bump doesn’t mean that you are carrying a big baby and like the same way a small bump doesn’t mean that your baby is underweight.
